My wife Elizabeth and I have been married since July of 2002 and have 6 beautiful children: Joshua, Jonathan, Hannah, Grace, Lily, & Phillip. I was raised in Kentucky, and yes I love college basketball! I graduated from Indiana Baptist College & Seminary in 2001. I enjoy fishing, hunting and spending time with my family.

My family and I live in a rural East Texas town called Jefferson. I have pastored the Heritage Baptist Church in Jefferson since 2012. We live on two acres down a dead end country road...and we are glad of it! The Lord has blessed us abundantly.

The reason for this blog is my love for writing. I am a Christian columnist for the Marshall Messenger and occasionally in other publications. I would love to make a difference with my pen.
